Reportedly, Salman Khan has decided not to produce Karan Johar's film on the Battle of Saragarhi, as it revolves around the same subject as good friend Ajay Devgn's next film.
When Karan Johar announced his collaboration with Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan, battle lines seemed to drawn between the trio and Ajay Devgn. Reportedly, the subject of both films was the same - the Battle of Saragarhi. It came as shocking, since Salman and Ajay have been great friends since their Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam days, and have also made special appearances in each other's movies like Ready and Son of Sardaar.
Now, a report in DNA states that Salman was unaware of the fact that Ajay was making a film on the same subject, and has reportedly backed out of the joint venture upon learning of the same.
A source is quoted as saying, "Karan and Ajay have been at loggerheads for a while. And while Karan knew that Ajay was making this film, he went ahead and announced his.. to be co-produced by Salman and starring Akshay Kumar. But now with Salman not being part of this project, it will be interesting to see if KJo will still go ahead with this film."
Karan and Ajay had a very public fallout last year, when their films Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay were clashing at the box office. In fact, the actor even accused KJo of offering self-proclaimed critic Kamaal R Khan a bribe of Rs 25 lakh for trashing Ajay's film Shivaay.
