For all Karan-Arjun fans, a surprise awaits. Didn't get us? Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will be sharing screen space in Tubelight. The two superstars will be seen together after 15 years. SRK has a cameo appearance in Tubelight. "It was a role screaming for a superstar cameo otherwise I wouldn't have. I find it gimmicky. But when you will watch the film, you will realise the role needed a superstar. We went to him with the role and he was kind enough to agree. It is a brilliant cameo but I can't say much about it because it will take away the joy of seeing it," Kabir Khan earlier told Indian Express.

Tubelight, Salman's first film of 2017, releases on June 25. The film is extensively shot in Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.

Salman Khan's 'Tubelight' rakes in Rs 227 crore even before its release, here's how!

Salman Khan's films are not for their record breaking spree at the box office. His next Eid release - Kabir Khan's Tubelight has been wrapped up and sources tell us it's shaped up amazingly well.
The makers have already sold their music rights and theatrical rights for record breaking prices. Don't believe us? Tubelight has already earned Rs 227 crore even before its release.
How? Well here's the lowdown. The Salman Khan starrer has been picked up by NH Studioz in India. They have paid a whopping Rs 132 crore for its theatrical rights in India. Along with that, the film's theatrical rights have gone for another Rs 75 crore in China alone. That makes ir Rs 207 crore just from the theatrical rights.
And the music of Tubelight has also been sold. Sony Music India has bought the music rights for the Salman film at Rs 20 crore, one of their highest bids in recent times. So in total, the Kabir Khan directorial venture has raked up a storm by collecting Rs 227 crore, almost three months before its release. Wow!

SALMAN KHAN TO GROOVE TO THE RECREATED VERSION OF ONE OF HIS SONGS FOR THE VARUN DHAWAN-STARRER JUDWAA SEQUEL

Actor will groove to the recreated version of his song in the Judwaa sequel.

Mirror had earlier reported (Feb 27) that Salman Khan, who played the twin leads of Raja and Prem in David Dhawan's 1997 comedy Judwaa, is set to make a guest appearance in the Varun Dhwan-starrer sequel. "Salman is all heart. When we need him, he'll be there," Dhawan Sr had told Mirror. Now, we hear that the film's team is planning to get the actor to be a part of one of the two songs from the original that have been recreated for Judwaa 2, "Oonchi Hai Building" and "Tan Tana Tan".

A source associated with the film reveals, "The plan is to give fans of the original a moment of nostalgia by showing him grove to his own song, but it's yet to be decided which of the two songs he will appear in. The number will also feature the new leads, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu. The songs will be filmed in a Mumbai studio once Varun and Taapsee are done with the upcoming 40-day UK schedule in April."

Varun Dhawan told Mirror, "It's a surprise, let it remain a surprise. People will be happy with it. All I can say is we are working on it. We are all aware it's a big responsibility and we will try and do our best."

About teaming up with his father again after the 2014-film Main Tera Hero, the actor said, "My father, didn't launch me because he's never launched anybody and he wouldn't make an exception for me. He only took me (in Main Tera Hero) after my first film did well and he's only making another film with me now after eight of my films have done well. That's how my family thinks. I have seen the ups and downs my father went through in his career while I was growing up, I respect that."

Varun had kicked off the shooting for the Sajid Nadiadwala's production in February, at a Mumbai studio by filming a Ganpati song that will be the film's opening number, introducing his tapori character.

10 Salman Khan Movies That Never Got Released

When it comes to stardom in Bollywood, Salman Khan is a class in himself. Despite so many controversies in his name, the actor is loved by the audiences like no one else. While there might be many actors waiting to replace the mega stars in the industry there is no else in Bollywood who can drag a movie as easily into the 100 crores club with as much ease as he can.  He might be associated with the biggest projects in Bollywood today but there are some films that he signed that never made it to the theatres.
Ran Kshetra – After Maine Pyaar Kiya the duo Salman and Bhagyasree got really popular as an onscreen couple. They were signed together for a second time for Ran Kshetra, but Bhagyashree got married and the film got stalled and was ultimately shelved.

Dil Hai Tumhara – The 1991 film had Salman Khan, Sunny Deol and Meenakshi Sheshadri in the lead and was being directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. They unfortunately got together for only one schedule of the shoo and Rajkumar Santoshi signed up for another film replacing Shekhar Kapoor as the director of Bobby Deol’s movie, BarsaatDil Hai Tumhara therefore took a back seat and was ultimately shelved.

Gherao – To make up for the lost project that was Dil Hai Tumhara, Salman was made to sign Gherao opposite Manisha Koirala and Rajkumar Santoshi was the director yet again. This one did not even make it to its first schedule of shooting and was shelved soon after the mahurat.

Aye Mere Dost – The project starring Arbaaz, Divya Bharti, Karishma Kapoor and Salman Khan began with a song recording but nothing really happened after that. The song was later used for another Salman Khan film, Majhdhar in 1996.

Buland – Salman had complete shooting for more than half the film with Somi Ali, who he was then dating, before the project got shelved for reasons unknown.

Raam – The 1994 film was all set to be Sohail Khan’s directorial debut and nearly half of it was shot before production issues occurred and the film was going over budget. Due a conflict the film got delayed and was later shelved. The film starred Salman, Anil Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt.

Chori Mera Naam – The movie had Sunil Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, and Kajol alongside Salman. It created a lot of buzz but was shelved after nearly half of it was shot. The reasons for calling off the project remain unknown but a stunt from the film by Salman and Sunil was used for a Thumbs Up commercial.

Dus – One of the most popular projects of Salman Khan to get shelved, it was under production in 1997 when the director Mukul S. Anand passed away half way through the film. The cast of the film included Salman, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Shilpa Shetty. The film never released but the sound track of the film was released in 1999.

Raju Raja Ram – The film starred Salman, Govinda and Jackie Shroff and was being directed by David Dhawan when the production house went into a financial crunch and the project was called off.
Aankh Micholi – Soon after Judwaa in 1997, Salman was signed up in this Anees Bazmi film for another double role.  But Salman had his reservations about doing another double role after Judwaa and the film was dropped.

Tiger Zinda Hai: Salman Khan to fight a pack of wolves in Austrian forests

Salman Khan is reportedly going to shoot an action scene for Tiger Zinda Hai where the actor will be seen fighting a pack of wolves in Austria.

Director Ali Abbas Zafar is leaving no stone un-turned in the making of Tiger Zinda Hai. The film which is currently being shot in Austria has on board a full-fledged Hollywood stunt-and-action crew led by X-Men and The Dark Knight stunt director Tom Struthers.
According to recent reports, this coming week, Tiger Zinda Hai star Salman Khan will be shooting an action scene where he will have to fight off a pack of wolves.
An insider close to the film's production told DNA, "It is producer Aditya Chopra's vision that the film matches with an international standards of action and the crew is going the extra mile to ensure that the spy drama Tiger Zinda Hai delivers on that vision. Salman will be seen fighting off a pack of wolves in a high-octane action scene in the snow laden forests of Austria."
Ali Abbas Zafar has earlier directed Salman Khan for the epic blockbuster Sultan for Yash Raj Films. Four years prior to Sultan, Salman starred in Kabir Khan's spy thriller Ek Tha Tiger, produced by Yash Raj Films. So, obviously, there are a lot of expectations from Ek Tha Tiger's sequel Tiger Zinda Hai, starring Salman Khan and helmed by the Sultan director Ali Abbas Zafar.
The source further added, "The international action crew is taking all cautionary measures to ensure the wolves are taken care of by their trainers, who have been working with the team for several days now, and the action sequence will follow all guidelines."
Tiger Zinda Hai will see Katrina Kaif reprising her role from Ek Tha Tiger. The film has a tentative release date of December 22 this year.

Salman Khan: Sridevi is a much bigger star than me, SRK, Aamir or Akshay

At the launch of the first look of Mom, Salman Khan sang praises of Sridevi and called her a bigger star than himself, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Sridevi is considered one of Indian cinema's greatest stars and heroines, somebody who made a name for herself in films of varied genres. With experience in not just Hindi films but also Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada films, Sridevi is one of India's most prolific female actors.

This was echoed by Salman Khan at the launch of the first look of Sridevi's upcoming film Mom as well. When host Maniesh Paul called Salman the 'star of the millenium', the Dabbang actor shushed him and began speaking volumes about Sridevi's awesomeness.
"Aamir KhanShah Rukh Khan, Akshay (Kumar), we have all done many films. Aamir may have done about 50 films - he has a lot of time, as he does only one film per year; Shah Rukh may have done more than 100 films. Put together, we may have all done about 250-275 films. But there is one legend who is very talented, dedicated, hardworking and professional. She completed 300 films, after starting her career as a child artiste. Our work cannot even be compared to this legend - she is none other than Sridevi!," Salman was quoted as saying by The Asian Age.
Sridevi's next film Mom, the first look of which hit the internet today, will feature the actor in a full-fledged role after five years since English Vinglish. Mom reportedly revolves around a mother's difficult relationship with her step-daughter and how the 'mom' fights those who perpetrate terrible injustice towards her girl.
About her career, at the event, Sridevi thanked her family, particularly, her mom, "If it was not for the support of my mother, I would have not been able to work in films. And I'm also happy that my children want me to do films, even now. Without them, I would not have lasted in the industry for so long."

Busy training for Tiger Zinda Hai: Salman Khan

Mumbai: Salman Khan, who had put on weight for his role of a wrestler in his last outing 'Sultan', says the physical transformation from fat-to-fit was a painful experience.

In the film, Salman's character Sultan was seen ageing from a young Haryana wrestler to an older man, for which he had to gain several kilos. "There is a lot of pain in undergoing physical transformation. I have been training for Tiger Zinda Hai and there is another film that I am training - it's a dance film (referring to Remo D'Souza film). For Sultan, I was 96 kgs. I have shed 18-20 kgs," Salman told reporters here last night.

The 51-year-old actor was speaking at the Zee Cine Awards held here last night. On work front, Salman will be next seen in 'Tubelight', set to release in theatres in June this year.
